Westwood
Energy Systems Inc. designs, manufactures, sells and supports patented
and innovative bio-energy gasification systems that can be fueled on a
variety of waste streams such as bark or ‘hog’ fuel, sawdust, cow
manure, recycled plastics, slaughterhouse waste, peat-moss, coal
blends, palm bunches and chicken litter - to name
a few. We offer
a reliable and cost effective technology whereby our customers can turn
their waste bio-mass materials into a clean, renewable heat energy
stream with the potential to produce electricity, steam, hot-oil or
refrigeration.
The Westwood Gasifier system is ideal for businesses with high energy needs and waste material on site or near by. Handling waste material on site saves on high disposal and transportation costs added to the significant savings that can be realized from reduced heat and power bills. An example of where the system has enormous benefits is in the lumber industry where high demands for heat and power exist and there is a ready supply of combustible material available.
Another example is the meat processing industry where the cost of disposal of the Meat and Bone Meal (MBM) is very high. The wet MBM waste can be mixed with wood pellets and gasified. The material is completely combusted leaving no potential for harmful byproducts or emissions and in the process has the potential of producing valuable heat, power and/or refrigeration.
